Please note that all items purchased on this site are for downloading only. Currently, we do not sell physical cds or USBs, but we do have future plans of selling USBs.
There are a numerous ways to access your purchases. In the event you have trouble with one way, try another. There is also a customer portal where all your purchases are stored. This is helpful if you lose your email with the link to access the content. Additionally, the customer portal has a built in player where you can listen to recordings, watch video clips (if applicable) and read PDF documents purchased from this site.
Method #1: Download from Purchase Page (Thank You Page)
After purchasing an album(s), wait a few moments and a download button will appear. Click this button to download your items.
After pressing the "download" button, you will be asked to save your purchase as a zip file. Choose the location (folder or subfolder etc.) on your computer that you wish to save your content to. Make sure you remember this place as you will need this for the next step as well as to access your content.
After saving the zip file, you will have to extract the content to be able to listen to it (or watch/read, if applicable.) To do so, right click on the saved zip file. Select "Extract All." You will be given the option of where to save these files. Use default setting unless you are more familiar with computer usage. Once extracted, these files can now be listened to. If the extracted folder was placed in a subfolder of the zipped folder, you may find it helpful to move the extracted folder to another location (such as an mp3 player or USB drive) and delete the zipped folder. This is the prefered option when using a kosher internet kiosk.
If you are experiencing difficulties unzipping your files, you may find it helpful to use a zipping program such as Bandzip (free): https://en.bandisoft.com/bandizip/
Method #2: Download from Email
When you make a purchase from Kosher Music Organization, you will receive two emails, one a receipt of purchase and a second with a link to retrieve your purchases. Click on this link. It will take you to the Customer Portal. From this point on, follow Method #3 for more instructions.
Email #1: Receipt
Email #2: Button to download purchases
Method #3: Download from Customer Portal
In the koshermusic.org website in the top right corner you will find a tab labeled "My Account". Click on this. You will be asked to sign in. Enter your username and password. If you do not have one, you will be required to open an account in order to access your files. Make sure to use the same email that you used for your purchases. Upon signing in, the screen will look something like this:
This shows the date of purchase and the item purchased. (In this case, it was free.) Click on "My Downloadable Orders" on the left side.
You will then be shown a screen with the name of the product purchased and the option of "Detail." Click on the "Detail" button.
The screen will then open up with your order number and purchases.
At this point, you will have the choice to download all your purchases at once (in case you purchased several albums), each album individually, or each track individually. You will also have the option here to listen/watch/read your purchases (depending if it is audio/video/pdf.) We will explain how to listen to purchases after explaining how to download.
Press the "Download All" button to download your entire order. This will create a zip file of all your purchases. (Note: large files may not download properly and may require Method #4 of using the Dropbox link.)
You can also download individual tracks by clicking on the purchased album and opening it to show all the tracks in the album:
There are two option for each track, to download or to play. To download an individual track, click on the "Download" button next to the track you want to download.
Method #4: Download from Dropbox Link
If for whatever reason the above methods do not work, or in case there is no option to download the album, you will be able to download your purchases via a Dropbox link. You do not need an account to download files from Dropbox.
First, go to the download screen as in method #3. Find the title of your purchase with the word "LINK" in it. Click on the "Download" button next to it.
This will take you to Dropbox.com. You will see a screen with the title of your purchase and a download button on top. Click on this button.
You will be asked to sign up or sign in if you already have an account. You do not need an account to download files, but if you do, the files can be sent directly to your dropbox account. The login page will look something like this:
To download your files without opening a Dropbox account, simply click on the option on bottom "Or continue with download only".
Continue to save your files to your computer as mentioned above and open the folder of the album purchased.
To listen to your purchases (or watch/read if applicable):
Go to the Customer Portal as mentioned above. All the files will be listed with the option to download or play. Click on the play button.
This will open a screen with an audio player where you can listen to each individual track. If the purchases contain video files, you will be able to watch them here. If the purchases contain pdf files (written documents such as publications or the Kosher Track Guidelines) they can be read here.
