The Kosher Music Organization strives to raise the level of kedusha in Klal Yisrael through the power of music - the koach hanegina. Because of this, we want to make this website and all its resources available to the public without extra delays. As such, we have opened this website with a minimal amount of materials, including music, shiurim and publications and are constantly adding more materials.
The following is a list of projects and features that will B'ezras Hashem be done through the Organization and/or added to the website:
- Live/Video presentations to be given in Yeshivos and Bais Yaakovs clearly defining what is kosher and non kosher music.
- Advanced shiurim on the subject of kosher and non kosher music. In these shiurim, the fine details of both positive and negative sides of music will be discussed and will be supplemented with audio and video clips to allow for maximum clarity. (These shiurim will not be available for sale through the website as they will only be available to parents and mechanchim. We will post updates when they become available.)
- Hundreds of additional albums of kosher music and Nuschaos HaT'filla/ Krias HaTorah from around the world.
- Shiurim on the topics of kosher music from Rabbonim, musicians and music experts, as well as from ba'alei teshuva who have fallen to the lowest depths because of treif music and pulled themselves out.
- Books and publications on the topics of kosher music.
- Kosher Track - One of the greatest accomplishments of the Kosher Music Organization will be the creation of what we refer to as "Kosher Track." This will be clear guidelines for musicians and singers (as well as anyone else interested) as to what constitutes kosher and treif music. The grey areas will be clearly defined as well as the topic of b'dieved songs. This will include both written documentation and audio/video examples as needed. Currently these guidelines are fully drafted and are under review by musicians and Rabbonim. We are currently working on adding the audio and video examples. For more information, click here.
- If anyone has any record, tape, cd or kosher intros they would like to add to our library, please contact us so that one of our team members can review its kashrus and obtain copyright permissions to make it available.
- If anyone knows of a kosher musician, singer, arranger, recording studio, etc. please tell them to contact us if they are interested in being listed on our website or in any of our future printed ads.
- Sponsorships are available for the production of the presentations, advanced shiurim, and Kosher Track Guidelines as well as for the furtherance of kosher music research and education. If you would like to sponsor any of these projects, please see our Donate page or contact us.
